Hi guys, another great show However… I have to pick you up on a couple of points. Brian Clemens did not solely create The Avengers, it was Sydney Newman, Leonard White and a small group of which Clemens was a part. He co-wrote the very first episode, Hot Snow, and obviously went on to become Producer/Showrunner (for want of a better word) and a HUGE creative force on the show.
Secondly, The New Avengers is NOT terrible. It has many excellent episodes that wouldn’t be out of place in the old series - and lets not forget that it’s TNA which inspired Clemens and Albert Fennell to create The Professionals!
Another great show. i agree about the theme tune, curently used by BBC radio 5’s “Fighting Talk”. Great tune and good to hear the Streets of San Francisco at the end.
I loved the show when i was a kid but when re-watching them they do not seem as good, perhaps as kell says i need to remember being a kid.
Looking forward to the next one gents.
