Hello and welcome to this months edition of Waffle On in which Meds and Kell talk about this 1999 David Fincher movie, Fight Club. It stars Brad Pitt and Edward Norton and has gained a cult following since its release on home media. It didnt do too well when released on the big screen (we have no idea why that was the case) but, as mentioned, has gained huge popularity. The lads chat a little about the re-release The Godfather (celebrating its 50th anniversary) and a little about the upcoming dramatisation of The Ipcress File.

Hello and Happy New Year to everyone, lets all hope 2022 will be a corker. We hope you all are safe and well. 

So Meds and Kell decided to start this years run of Waffle On in style with a great pop corn movie. Sometimes you just want to pop a film on, watch some mindless violence and enjoy seeing the bad guys get their teeth kicked in and legs electrocuted. Made in 2008 this film changed the direction of Liam Neesons career. He went from being a romantic actor to a leading action star. The film produced 2 sequels and a tv series. The films were written by legendary film maker Luc Besson, a often over looked creator who has produced some amazing films such as Fifth Element, Le Femme Nikita, Leon and the brilliant French Taxi films.

Forget your love actually and Hallmark channel movies get this Quentin Tarantino script and Tony Scott vision down your heart valves.

Well what a treat we have for you. This is possibly one of the cheapest films we have covered but its bloody good fun. Meds was introduced to this by Kell back in 1989 and it became a go to film when not going to college... (please dont take career advice from the boys). Anyway with typical tounge in cheek chat they go through the film and also chat about the coming soon Waffle On meet up in Birmingham UK (November 20th, Cherry Reds Brum 12pm to 6pm)

Man BItes Dog is a Belgium black comedy made in 1992 by film students   Rémy Belvaux, André Bonzel and Benoît Poelvoorde.

Sitting Target

The lads have a treat for you this month. Starring Oliver Reed, Jill St John and Ian Mcshane, Sitting target is a brutal 1970's movie of revenge. Its gritty style offers an insight to realistic city British life. Recently mentioned by Quentin Tarantino as one of his favourite British films he is not wrong. 

At the end f the podcast there is (as always) a special treat so do stay for the after credits goodies.
